Anna Maria Perez de Tagle wears a long and ridiculous hair style.

She seems to have wanted a soft, romantic, glamorous hairdo that would make her face more slender and turn heads on the red carpet.

I'm sure she turned heads.

But this is a really awful hair disaster, a mish mash of stylistic elements thrown together without any understanding that they should work in unison.

Anna starts with a crown raised so high that it's almost a beehive, and pulled so tight that it could be a growth. This dark and forbidding object, trimmed bizarrely with a sparkly blue bow, towers above a confusion of long, thick, very big spirals which leap suddenly from the base of the beehive growth and tumble down both sides of her face.

Between these alarming cascades Anna's straight and wispy bangs reach down to her eyelashes. Spread too thinly to conceal the fact of her forehead, these bangs are halved and angled carefully to enhance the hairstyle's nightmare symmetry.

Inexplicably, but in keeping with this teen celebrity's random styling approach, a straightened lock of hair drops past the corner of each eye and vertically divides her cheek. A strip of glowing skin between the straight and curly verticals reminds us that Anna Maria Perez de Tagle's cheeks just keep on going ... and in case we miss the fact, Anna spreads her hair even wider at this very point.

She's like the victim in a slasher movie who doesn't sense the murderer coming up behind her with a knife. Everyone sees the horror but her, and her chubby victim face smiles benignly as the viewer looks on aghast and speechless.
