From the broader, right of the part, a wide section of hair is drawn forward and down so that it crosses the forehead on an angle and wraps around the side, level with the eyebrow. The lower edge of this section dips in the middle, curving towards the open side of the face.

Left of the part, strands of hair are pulled down at an angle across the top of the ear. Some wrap round the side, and others curve out in a broad sweep and back in again to the jaw.

A tapering wedge of forehead is revealed between the left and right sections.

Very long layers, drawn down from further back, fall directly to the shoulders and beyond. On the left their path remains behind the ear and well clear of the cheek. On the right these layers press in around the face.
