Ashley Tisdale was engaged in the innocent pursuits of a New Jersey three-year-old when an agent, Bill Perlman, plucked her from the real world and childhood and launched her on a relentless course for stardom.

Not content with a finder's fee, Perlman assumed the management of her career.

Best known as Maddie Fitzpatrick (Blondie) in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Ashley Tisdale had her film debut at age 10 as the voice of Yuko in the Japanese animated feature Mimi wo Sumaseba, or Whisper of the Heart.

Zack and Cody led to the role of Sharpay Evans in another Disney production, High School Musical, which in turn launched Tisdale on a recording career with the hit songs Bop to the Top, We're All in this Together and What I've Been Looking For.

Warner Bros. Records snapped her up for their artist list.

Ashley Tisdale was born with dark brown hair, but dyed it blonde for the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick (aka Blondie) in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

She continues to play with hair colors, mingling multiple tones in streaks, foils, highlights, low lights and extensions. Her normal style is to wear bangs, a fringe that rounds out and softens the shape of her forehead.
