The hair is divided above the left eye to create a broad, soft fringe that Hilary draws across her forehead to the corner of her right eye. On her left the hair is tucked back towards the ear but not behind it, revealing the line of her cheek and the base of her ear with its big hoop earring.

At the base Hilary's hair has been thinned and layered so that it flicks up above the shoulders while longer, thinner strands fall forward (I would say they straggle, really) onto her bodice.
