Actress, ghost-whisperer and producer Jennifer Love Hewitt wears a peculiar, almost ridiculous updo hairstyle that might well be a candidate for the Silly Hair Styles page.

On the positive side you could call it perky, fun, funky, even flamboyant. But it's a confused hair style - tall, symmetrical, combining smooth, carefully styled bangs and waves at the front with a big messy bun dangling precariously some distance behind her head.

Jennifer's long hair is parted in the middle and distributed over her forehead in a curtain of straight, brow-length bangs. The bangs merge into twin spirals curling delicately past her cheeks. But at the crown this orderly arrangement vanishes in a maelstrom of curls exploding out towards the distant horizon.

As an observer you're left uncertain whether she's trying to be glamorous or simply taking the mickey.
