Sofia Coppola's Hair Style:

Sofia Coppola, director and actress, wears a simple, flattering hair style. Her face is really pretty so she doesn't have to do much to keep things looking cute.

In a roundabout way, which is to say with a precise, sharply defined part that curves back towards her crown, she creates two sections from her hair.

The larger section rises gently and glides over to the far side, tumbling down beside her face like a river of silk. A strand at the very front of this section crosses her forehead on a steep angle, not quite bangs and hardly a fringe, but rounding her forehead beautifully. An inch above the end of her eyebrow, this subtle but important strand returns to the river of silk.

The other section of Sofia Coppola's hair falls more directly - it doesn't have as far to go. But this side, too, rises from the part in a gorgeous curve that catches the light all the way back to her crown.

As her hair drops below the level of her eyes and passes her cheeks, it widens slightly on both sides. No accident here - Sofia wants to lure you away from a jaw line and chin which, if you wanted to be completely petty and unreasonable, you might suggest was just a tiny bit too narrow.

But who's gonna split hairs? I'm sure this talented young celebrity turned a lot of heads at the Directors Guild Awards :)
