Ah, the hairstyle vagaries of Sarah Jessica Parker!
The pictures above capture the good, the bad and the horrible of this perfume selling celebrity actress and her strange choice of hair styles.
Sarah Jessica Parker is not a beautiful woman by any stretch of the imagination.
If she happens upon the right hairstyle she can look pretty good.
But that's a huge if, apparently.
She often seems to think that bizarre means glamour and sophistication (a notion she shares with Jessica Simpson).
Her three updos in the middle row are proof of this odd belief.
Simple hairstyles can suit her, like those she wears in the first, fourth and fifth pictures in the top row.
But simple hairstyles can also look atrocious on Sarah Jessica Parker, like the straight, symmetrical hairdo in Pictures 3, 9 and 15. Her face is long enough already without help from straight and narrow haircuts like this one.
Her wider, curly hairstyle in Pictures 7 and 13 also does nothing for her. Dark hair draws vertical lines down her cheeks and past her throat, confirming that her face is a tall, thin rectangle.
Why one look works and another doesn't is a mystery to Sarah Jessica Parker.
For all her fame and public exposure, she doesn't seem to understand the simplest elements of her own face shape or the benefits of hairstyles that alter it.
