From the broader section of hair, left of the part, a long, wide section at the front is drawn forward and down, crossing the forehead in a steep curve that bends away from the open side of the face. It covers the eyebrow and half conceals the eye, then changes direction to an upward arc.

It crosses the line of the cheek half way down and continues outwards, twisting tightly and doubling back into a curl that hangs in the air and parallels the graceful line of neck and shoulder.

Behind this languidly curling set of bangs, the rest of the hair on this side wraps round the head, enveloping the ear as it passes. This movement is precisely mirrored on the right side, where the hair is drawn down and backwards, to create a generous, symmetrical curve around the top of the head.

A single lock descends in front of the right ear, in a wispy echo of the curl that ends the left side bangs; reaching out to leave the cheek and lower face exposed, it bends in suddenly to touch the corner of the jaw.
